Upcoming IVF Laboratory Renovation: What Patients Need to Know

Posted on December 8, 2025 by Reproductive Biology Associates

Dear Patients,

Reproductive Biology Associates (RBA) would like to share an important update regarding an upcoming renovation in our laboratory at the Sandy Springs location and how it may temporarily affect treatment timing early next year. We know how important it is for patients to have clear and timely updates, especially when planning treatment, and we want to ensure this information is communicated in advance.

From January 5 through January 18, 2026, RBA will be completing a necessary renovation to a section of the flooring in the In Vitro Fertilization laboratory. This flooring is essential to maintaining a safe, sterile, and highly controlled environment where eggs, sperm, and embryos are cared for. Replacing it is an important step in preserving the long-term quality and safety of the laboratory.

We recognize that adjustments to treatment plans require coordination, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Our team is here to make any necessary changes as seamlessly as possible, and this renovation is an important step in maintaining the laboratory conditions that support high-quality care.

How this may affect your treatment plan

To maintain safety and minimize disruption while the renovation is underway:

  • All egg retrieval procedures from January 5 through January 18 will take place at the RBA Canton laboratory located at: 460 Northside Cherokee Boulevard, Suite 390, Canton, Georgia.

  • Stimulation cycle starts will be limited between December 22, 2025, and January 5, 2026, to ensure appropriate laboratory capacity during this period.

  • All other services — including embryo transfers, inseminations, monitoring appointments, bloodwork, and semen testing — will continue at the RBA Sandy Springs location with minimal interruption: 1100 Johnson Ferry Rd NE, Building 2, Suite 200, Atlanta, Georgia.

What this means for you

Patients who are planning to begin a stimulation cycle or may need an egg retrieval during this time are encouraged to contact their care team. The team will take the time to review your treatment plan, answer your questions, and provide individualized guidance. Every patient’s path is unique, and our team will work closely with you to minimize disruption and provide clear next steps.

If you have questions or concerns, or would like to talk through how this renovation may affect your treatment, please reach out via the portal or by phone at 404-257-1900. Our team is here to listen, guide, and support you throughout your care.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and trust as RBA completes this important project. This renovation will help ensure that our laboratory continues to offer the safest and most advanced environment for all patients on their family-building journey.

With care,

The RBA Team
